For Gate Keepers
The Alaska Statewide Suicide Prevention Council has a site, Stop Suicide Alaska, with resources, research and connections to the regional suicide prevention coalitions.
American Foundation for Suicide Prevention has excellent resources for communities. Locally we participate in the Out of the Darkness Walk held on April 25, 2015 at Griffin Park in Fairbanks and the International Survivors of Suicide Day event held the Saturday before Thanksgiving.
We have found inspiration from the Centre for Suicide Prevention in Calgary, Alberta. If you are doing research they have an online library with 45,000 items in their database.
An excellent source of training and best practices can be found at the National Suicide Prevention Resource Center.
