ARCSP Board of Directors
Executive Director: Rick Hinkey. Rick joined the American Lung Association in Alaska in the summer of 2017. He comes to public health from a variety of nonprofits committed to serving at-risk populations such as the elderly, the disabled, youth, and the under-served rural areas of Alaska. Rick was lead pastor of two Alaska churches and walked alongside multiple families and individuals experiencing loss due to suicide and attempts at suicide. In his role leading various nonprofit human service organizations, Rick was instrumental in developing a rural health program to help the elderly, and the disabled remain in their own homes and villages rather than relocating to a group home or assisted living center in other parts of the state. Rick has been committed to increasing the quality of life for vulnerable populations and has been intentional about developing partnerships with other like-minded nonprofits to that end. He brings his competitiveness and team experiences to his career and recognizes that nonprofits are exponentially more effective when they work together for the common good. Rick holds an undergraduate degree in cross-cultural communication, a certificate in nonprofit management, a Masters of Divinity Degree and a Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Administration from North Park University in Chicago.
